Final Post … 05/03/20

The semester is coming to an end, and that means this will be my very last blog post. At the beginning of the semester, I did not enjoy the idea of writing blogs each week. I thought it would be a waste of time and I considered it to be “busy work.” As the semester went on, I started to enjoy writing blog posts each week. It was a nice break from all my other school work that I had to do. It allowed me to stop and collect my thoughts on paper. I enjoyed writing blog posts each week because it was enjoyable to write about different topics. I enjoyed choosing my own topics, instead of having assigned prompts. Since the semester is coming to an end, I decided to not keep up with my blog posts, at least on this site. I did enjoy blogging, but I was not a fan of this website. If I decide to blog again, I most likely will create my own website or create a social media page, like Twitter, to express my thoughts and stories. Usually when I write personal thoughts, I use pen and paper. I did not enjoy writing stories on my computer. I enjoy writing stories on paper because it is more relaxing to me. I am really happy I had the chance to blog throughout the semester. Being able to blog each week has helped me as a writer. It has allowed me to express my creativity. I hope to continue to grow as a writer.

I have learned that I love writing.
Blogging allowed me to take time out of my day to relax and just write.

My Motivational Words …

Since it is a new year, I made a challenge for myself. I chose words to live by for the 2020 season. The words that I chose to live by are, “strive for progress, not perfection.” I tend to be a perfectionist, so my challenge for this year is to not be hyper focused on specific things. I believe when I try to make everything perfect, I forget about that nothing needs to be perfect. It is more of the fact that I need to focus on what really matters. If I focus on perfection, then I won’t be able to progress in what I am doing. For example, I have always loved and been motivated to be a good student. Sometimes I focus on how my paper looks or how organized my notes are. This takes away my progress of actually learning the material properly and in my own way. Not everything needs to be perfect in life. All that matters is that we are happy in what we do. By being happy, we are progressing in becoming a healthier and happier person. When I am doing school work, working out, hanging out with friends and family, or organizing my room, I need to remember that perfection is not the goal. The goal to success is if you are progressing with yourself. If I live by these words, I believe my 2020 season will be successful. I think I will grow as a person and be happier with my performance in the things I do.
