Since I have experienced high school and college lifestyle, I can now see the similarities and differences between the two. When I think of high school, the first word that comes to mind is “discoveries.” The reason I use this word to describe high school is because as a person, you are still figuring out who you are. High school is a time to find your interests and hobbies. It allows you to discover different clubs, sports, friends, etc. High school can be tough. You have to learn as a person to grow your confidence. The building starts Freshman year and continues all the way until Senior Graduation. I personally enjoyed high school. It allowed me to grow as a person. It allowed me to experience different things. I came to find my true friends and my favorite hobbies. Now, college is much different than high school. If I had to describe college using one word, it would be “freedom.” College is a time to learn how to live on your own and how to make yourself happy. It is a time to step away from high school and experience real-life situations. I enjoy college because I have found people with the same interests as me and have met people from all over. I also enjoy being on a schedule and planning my day and weeks. So far, college has allowed me to truly find myself. Looking back, high school prepared me for college tremendously. I am very grateful for my teachers in high school. They prepared me well for college life.
